Woman chops man’s genital as he tries to rape her

Madhya Pradesh: In a rare incident, a woman cut off the genital of a miscreant who tried to rape her when she was only with her minor son at home. The incident took place at around 11 pm on Thursday night in Madhya Pradesh. Following the incident the woman went to the Police station and filed an FIR against the wrongdoer at about 1.30 am.

As per a report in PTI, the woman was with her 13 year old son at home in Umariha village in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh while her husband was out of station when the incident took place. At about 11 pm on Thursday the accused lurked into the house with a bad intention. Thinking that a thief had sneaked in, her son ran to safety out of the house. At this moment the accused thrashed the woman and tried to sexually assault her. However, she resisted his attempt for over 20 minutes but then took out a sickle that was unde the cut, and cut off the man’s genital in self-defence and to keep her modesty intact,” PTI quoted the official as saying.

The woman then reached the police outpost and lodged a complaint against him around 1.30 am on Friday. Later, the accused also filed a counter case against the woman.

Accordingly, a case has been filed under sections 354 (criminal force on woman with an intent to outrage her modesty), 456 (house-trespass or house-breaking by night), 294 (obscene acts), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and other appropriate sections.

On the other hand a case has also been registered against the woman under IPC section 327 (voluntarily causing hurt) on the basis of the FIR filed by the man.
