With 97, 894 Cases, 1,132 Deaths In A Single day, India’s COVID-19 Tally Climbs To 51,18,254
New Delhi: India on Thursday reported 97, 894 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 51,18,254 while 1,132 more people lost their lives taking the death tally to 83,198.
India now is the second worst hit country after the US, with 51,18,254 coronavirus cases. The first ever positive case in India was reported on January 30.
Out of the total corona cases, 10,09,976 are active cases while 33,23,950 COVID infected patients have discharged /recovered so far.
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh are the worst-hit states.
The Global COVID-19 tally reached 29.8 million with 939K deaths and 20.2 million recoveries. The US continues to be on the top with 6.72 million cases and 200K deaths.
