WATCH: Couple From Madhya Pradesh Ties Knot In PPE Suits

Madhya Pradesh: A couple in Ratlam city of Madhya Pradesh tied the knot in PPE suits on Monday as the groom had tested positive for coronavirus.

Reportedly, the wedding took place at a marriage hall with the permission of local administration where the police officials were also part in the ceremony along with the limited number of family members.

The video that went over the social media shows the bride and the groom as well as three others in PPE suits at the wedding ceremony. Mantras for pheras can also be heard as the couple goes around the holy fire.

Gatherings for social and religious functions have been restricted in states across India, in order to stop the spread of coronavirus. A maximum number of guests allowed at wedding functions stands at 50, according to the guidelines.

As of now more than five lakh people have been affected in Madhya Pradesh by novel coronavirus, where more than 90k cases are still active in the state.
