Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat Resigns

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat resigns on Tuesday. Rawat met Governor Baby Rani Maurya at around 4 pm today and submitted his resignation.

The development comes a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh discussed political developments in the hill state.

Rawat met BJP President JP Nadda hours after a crucial meeting of Union Minister Amit Shah with the party chief at New-Delhi on Monday.

In 2017, Rawat was made Chief Minister after BJP won in Uttarakhand.
