Uttar Pradesh Govt Eases Covid Lockdown Restrictions, Check Details

Lucknow: As there has been dip in Covid-19 cases in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday announced that it will ease Covid restrictions in some parts of the state.

The state government announced to permit economic activities in zones with less than 600 active cases from June 1 (7am to 7pm).

However, weekend and night curfew will remain imposed across the state. Night curfew will be imposed from 7 pm to 7 am.

Shops outside containment zones will be allowed to open for five days during the week in districts that have less than 600 active Covid-19 cases.

Twenty cities including Lucknow, Moradabad and Meerut will continue to be under week-long lockdown until the number of active cases falls below 600.

This comes a day after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a crucial meet in the state and gave directions to lift the restrictions in a “phased manner” after analysing the situation in the state.
