UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022 notification released for 861 posts; Check eligibility, exam dates and other details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the notification for the civil service exam (CSE) 2022. A total of 861 vacancies has been notified by the commission. Candidates who wants to apply for the civil service exam can apply through the website — upsc.gov.in. or upsconline.nic.in till 6 pm of February 22, 2022. The UPSC Civil Service prelims examination 2022 will be held on June 5. Candidates who qualify the prelims will then appear for the main examination.

Eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022

The candidate applying for the IAS and IPS posts has to be an Indian national. For others, they can be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees. You can check the official notification to know more about the eligibility criteria.

Educational qualification:

The applicant must hold a degree of universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

Age limit for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2022 i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd
August, 1990 and not later than 1st August, 2001. There is age relaxation for the reserved category.

Paper pattern

How to Apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022

Step-1: Visit the official website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in

Step-2: Click on the CSE 2022 online application link and register.

Step 3: Fill out the application form with the required details and upload the required documents

Step-4: Pay the application fee.

Step-5: Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
