UPSC Civil Services 2019: Dos & Donts before the prelims

New Delhi: The Civil Services 2019 prelims exam is to be held on June 2 which is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC).

In this article, we will be discussing the basic dos and donts for the UPSC prelims

Things To Do:
  1. Keep ready all the important material: Admit Cards, ID Proof, analog wristwatch, black ballpoint pen, etc. Also, keep the Admit card till the end results are declared.
  2. Try to visit the centre beforehand so that you know the commute time
  3. Give a quick look to all what you have studied
  4. Eat light and healthy and sleep well
  5. Do whatever relaxes you
Things Not To Do:
  1. Do not carry gadgets or mobile phones. You’ll have to submit your phone before entering the hall, so make sure you carry a bag in which to safe-keep it.
  2. Do not panic.  If you panic, you will not be able to recollect what you have learned.
  3. Do not engage in any difficult and new topics
  4. Don’t panic if you have not studied something, rather focus on what you know and recall
  5. Avoid eating unhealthy food or food/drink from an unknown source

The UPSC conducts the civil services examination for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other central services and posts in accordance with the rules published by the Department of Personnel and Training in the Gazette of India extraordinary.
