UP STF seizes Ganja worth Rs. 1 cr concealed in salt sacks from Truck going from Odisha

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) reportedly seized Ganja worth about Rs. 1 crore that was hidden inside sacks of salt. The cops managed to track the vehicles which were going to Chopan area in Sonbhadra from Odisha. Four persons were arrested in this connection.

As per reports, a total of 800 kg of ganja, which worth approximately Rs 1 crore, was recovered from the accused persons. All the accused persons are from UP according to the cops.

After getting a tip-off from a solid source the cops seized 300 sacks of salt, which were used to conceal ganja, a truck, a car, Rs 3,500 in cash, two driving licences, two Aadhaar cards, and a PAN card, among other things, from the accused.

A case has been reportedly registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
