UP Govt. to Install 251 Metre Tall Statue of Lord Ram

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to install a 251 metres tall statue of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. The Statue will be taller than the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Statue of Unity in Gujarat. It will be the tallest statue in the world, reported ANI.

The topic was discussed on Monday in a High power committee meeting held in the state capital. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that the statue will be built in the 100 hectares of land near river Sarayu in Ayodhya. He also added that the work for the construction work for the statue will begin soon.

As per the suggestions of CM Adityanath, there should be a comprehensive plan laid out for the development of Ayodhya. He said that a digital museum based on Lord Ram theme, Interpretation Centre, Library, Food Plaza, Parking Space, etc will be part of Ayodhya’s development.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed by Uttar Pradesh government with the Gujarat government for technical assistance and guidance, as informed by the UP government. A separate unit of ‘Rajkiya Nirman Nigam’ will be set up for the purpose of installation of the statue of Lord Ram.

It is also informed that the site inspection, environment assessment, feasibility studies, etc will be done by IIT Kanpur and Nagpur based National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI).
