United Nations: The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has given the “Empretec Women in Business: Special Recognition Social Award” on Thursday in Geneva to Kerala’s 4Tune Factory for enabling women and girls to develop skills.
The award was received by Chandra Vadhana, the CEO of the company and presented by Alok Kumar, the founder of SRK Consulting Group at the World Investment Forum.
The 4Tune Factory “worked toward activating and enabling women and girls by developing their skills”, quoted UN.
The Empretec awards are given to women-owned businesses that have benefited from the business from UNCTAD’s Empretec entrepreneurship programme.
Sustainable development and inclusive growth are promoted through this initiative by developing entrepreneurship and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
