Two terrorists killed in Encounter in J&K’s Pulwama

Kashmir: Atleast two terrorists were killed in an encounter between the security forces and terrorists on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.

The two terrorists who have been neutralized have been identified as Top JeM terrorist commander Yasir Parray, an IED expert & foreign terrorist Furqan. Both were involved in several terror crime cases: IGP Kashmir

The encounter took place between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district during the early hours on Wednesday. After a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about the presence of terrorists.

An encounter has started at Qasbayar area of Pulwama,” a police spokesman said.

As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where the terrorists were hiding they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.

The operation is still underway.
