Bokaro (Jharkhand): A train detachment followed by derailment has been reported from Bokaro district on in Jharkhand in wee hours of Thursday.
According to reports, a goods train passing through Tupkadih in Jharkhand got detached with two of its wagons overturning after derailment. The incident occurred between Tupkadih and Rajabera sections.
Reports further said following the train detachment and derailment, movement has been affected and the plying of trains on down line track has been suspended. Reports said that a 15-member team of RPF Bokaro had reached the spot at the earliest.
Further, the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. Investigation is underway in this regard. Efforts to clear the tracks are also underway, sources in RPF Bokaro confirmed.
