Traders In Ayodhya To Wave Black Flags At Uddhav Thackeray

Ayodhya: Amid fears of communal tension, the traders’ community in Ayodhya is all set to show black flags to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray when he arrives in Ayodhya on November 24 for the Dharma Sabha.

Businessmen and traders in Ayodhya have decided to boycott the Vishwa Hindu Parishad roadshow on November 24 and 25. President of the United Merchants’ Board Janardan Pandey on Thursday said the congregation is an attempt to destroy the peaceful atmosphere in temple city Ayodhya by flaring communal tensions. He added that people in Ayodhya as well as Faizabad are worried about the roadshow and have started hoarding food items due to fear.

Interestingly, the Ram Temple-Babri Masjid has cropped up in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls early next year. For VHP’s Dharma Sabha, thousands of volunteers from Shiv Sena have reached Ayodhya. Security has been beefed up in Faizabad and Ayodhya to avoid any untoward incident.
