Toxic gas leak in Andhra Pradesh pharma company, 1 dead and 11 critical

Anakapalli (Andhra Pradesh): In a tragic incident of a gas leak in Andhra Pradesh, one person has died and as many as 11 people have been critically injured.

According to reports, there has been a toxic gas mixed with HCL leaked from a private pharma company in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday afternoon.

As many as 11 workers fell ill and immediately workers were shifted to the hospital. One worker however died while getting treatment due to excessive inhalation of the toxic gas.

The rest of the ten persons are getting treatment in different hospitals. The  District Fire Officer, P. Nageswarao confirmed the news of the gas leak and the subsequent death. Further detailed reports awaited in this matter. A probe is underway as to the reason of the gas leak.
