Top Maoist leader Manish Yadav carrying bounty of Rs 5 lakh killed in exchange of fire in Jharkhand

Latehar: In yet another attempt to wipe out naxalites, security forces killed Maoist commander Manish Yadav carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head. He was killed in an encounter in Latehar in Jharkhand last night.

Another Maoist leader Kundar Kherwar carrying a bounty of Rs 10 lakh was arrested from the site by the police. In an exchange of fire in the Karamkhad and Dauna forests in Latehar the security personnel achieved the success.

The encounter began late last night and continued this morning as well. Two automatic rifles and other items were recovered by the personnel. Manish was considered as the last top Maoist commander from Bihar and with his end almost marks the end of Maoism in the area.
