Three family members pulled to safety after river mishap in Himachal

Three members of a family from Punjab were almost killed when they were washed away in the strong currents of the Parvati river while taking photographs near the riverside.

Himachal Pradesh: Three members of a family were standing by the riverside, taking pictures.

They were stated to have slipped while taking photographs and have been washed away by the river Parvati on Saturday, which is currently in a state of flood with very high and strong currents of water in its course.

Panic set in as soon as people and other relatives shouted at them. A number of people there started rescuing the tourists with each other and succeeded in getting them out of the river safely.

A video of the incident has also gone viral on the internet, and it shows that people gathered by the riverside and are helping to get the three tourists out of the water.

All three tourists are stated to have been recovered safely from the water. According to reports, they have minor injuries and are in shock, but they are safe from the great danger.

A lot of people can be seen by the river as if there was a tourist visit arranged there, or it is a highly visited place, known as the Parvati Valley.

This incident is again proving to be an alert for tourists of Himachal Pradesh from the mountain rivers, as people always advise not to go by the riverside to click photographs.
