Tamil Actor Vijay Cycles To Tamil Nadu Polling Booth To Cast His Vote

Chennai: Tamil superstar Vijay was seen cycling to the polling station today to cast his vote on Tuesday, he was seen wearing a green T-shirt and a black face mask.

Vijay was seen riding his cycle on a narrow road in Chennai, virtually surrounded by people following him on two-wheelers, taking pictures and even the police was forced to use lathis as the crowd started following the actor on the streets.

Pictures of Vijay riding his cycle went viral on social media, with several fans posting that it was a political statement made by the actor to protest against the petrol and diesel price hikes.

However, Vijay’s spokesperson released a statement saying that since the booth was nearby he decided to cycle and there wasn’t any other intention.

“Thalapathy Vijay decided to go by cycle instead of using the car because the poll booth was right next to his residence and taking the car might have congested the road even more. There was no other intention behind it!” – tweeted Riaz K Ahmed tweeted.
