Supreme Court Collegium recommends elevation of two Chief Justices to the Apex Court

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on August 25, recommended the elevation of the two Chief Justices of the High Courts as judges in the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court Collegium recommended Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of High Court of Bombay and Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Chief Justice of Patna High Court as the apex court judges.
The notice issued by the Supreme Court read as follows, “The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 25th August, 2025 has recommended elevation of the following Chief Justices of the High Courts, as Judges in the Supreme Court:
(i) Mr. Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice, High Court of Bombay (PHC: High Court of Madhya Pradesh)
(ii) Mr. Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Chief Justice, High Court of Judicature at Patna, (PHC: High Court of Gujarat)”
