Suman Rao Crowned Femina Miss India World 2019
Mumbai: Suman Rao from Rajasthan has won the title of Femina Miss India World 2019. The beauty pageant was a fully star-studded ceremony at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.
Suman Rao originally from Udaipur is a CA aspirant and she also won the 1st runner up title at Miss Navi Mumbai in the year 2018. The newly crowned Miss India is 5 feet 10 inches tall and is interested in dancing. She has also undergone training in Kathak.
The 20-year-old will be representing India in Miss World 2019 which will be hosted in Thailand. Speaking in an interview Rao said, “When you get yourself determined towards a particular goal in life, every single nerve and fibre of your body starts working into that direction for a victorious journey.”
Sanjana Vij from Telangana was runner-up, while Shivani Jadhav from Chhattisgarh was crowned as the Femina Miss Grand India 2019 along with Shreya Shanker from Bihar who Miss India United Continents 2019 title during the grand finale of the beauty pageant held last evening in Mumbai.
The prestigious beauty pageant was hosted by big-shot filmmaker Karan Johar along with Manish Paul. The Jury desk was occupied by Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza, actress Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, fashion designer Falguni Shane Peacock, sprinter Dutee Chand and Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri among others.
Actress Katrina Kaif, Mouni Roy and URI actor Vicky Kaushal fascinated the audience with their dance performances during the major event.
