Assam: A strong earthquake of 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Assam on Wednesday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The earthquake hit Assam at 7.51 am, with its center located at Latitude 26.69 °N and Longitude 92.36°E with a focal depth of 17 km located at 43km W of Tezpur.
The earthquake originated in Assam and tremors were felt across the state, North Bengal and other parts of the Northeast.
However, no loss of life or property has been reported as of now.
