Statue of Lord Ram in Ayodhya soon: Yogi Adityanath

Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced to set up a grand statue of Lord Ram in Ayodhya soon.

“The establishment of Sri Ram’s visiting statue will be discussed as per land requirements. The statue will be placed in the temple, but it will be the identity of Ayodhya. We’ll arrange all the necessary arrangements to make the statue the pride of Ayodhya),” said Yogi.

Speaking to media persons, Adityanath claimed that the Congress party and its chief Rahul Gandhi should clarify their position on Ram Mandir. “Even Rajiv Gandhi’s intentions (about Ram Mandir) were not very clear,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Yogi visited the spot proposed for the statue of Lord Ram. He also visited prominent temples including Ram Janambhoomi, Hanuman Garhi temple and Kanak Bhawan.

The Uttar Pradesh government has already kicked off the project by seeking presentations from some of the companies. It is speculated that the statue being 150-metres tall standing on a 50-metre pedestal.
