Spurious Remdesivir Injections Circulates In Madhya Pradesh, Contains Glucose & Salt

Bhopal: A gang of six people have been supplying huge amount of fake Remdesivir injections in Madhya Pradesh in the past month, informed the Gujarat police.

Reportedly, the injections contained glucose water and salt that were being sold as genuine Remdesivir, which is currently in high demand for treating Covid-19 patients.

The Gujarat police busted the racket in Surat on Sunday and arrested the six people.

The gang used to search for needy customers on social media under the attire of helping patients and used to charge Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 per injection, added reports.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
