Shocking Rise In Covid Cases In India In Last 24 hours, See Details

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: In a shocking rise, India reported as many as 33,750 fresh COVID cases in the past 24 hours on Monday.

The country reported a low number of recoveries at only 10,846 cases.

A relief however came from the fact that the number of deaths due to Covid was 123 in the entire nation.

However, the active Covid cases in the country stand at 1,45,582.  The total number of recoveries in the country is 3,42,95,407.

The Covid death toll is 4,81,893 in India till date.

The Total vaccination number is 1,45,68,89,306.

It is noteworthy that, as many as 1700 Omicron cases have been detected in India till date.

A total of 424 Covid-19 positive cases including 47 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

This has taken the tally of Covid to 10,55,980 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department after the first weekend of New Year 2022.

Among the 424 positives, 246 are quarantine cases and 178 are local contacts.

However, 147 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of recovered persons to 10,45,109. There are a total of 2355 active cases.

Khordha district has reported the highest number of Covid cases with 151 positives.
