Sabarimala: Activist Rahul Easwar Held For “Spill Blood” Remark

Sabarimala: People ready to “make wounds in their hand and spill blood in the temple”, said Eeswar, an activist, to force the closure of the hill shrine in case any woman of menstruating age managed to enter the temple. Following this, an FIR was launched and he was arrested in Sabarimala today.

Eeswar was also arrested earlier this month and later released on bail for allegedly blocking women at Sabarimala.

Mr Easwar belongs to the Thazhamon family of Sabarimala priests and heads the ‘Ayyappa Dharma Sena’.

The BJP in Kerala condemns the arrest. Kerala BJP president PS Sreedharan Pillai told reporters that “The BJP condemns the police action on Rahul Easwar and also those associated wit the protests over the Sabarimala issue,”.
