New Delhi: As much as Rs. 1.3 crore cash and various incriminating evidence recovered during ED raid in Delhi, said reports on Friday.
According to reports, enforcement directorate (ED) Delhi conducted search operations on 27.11.2024 at 15 locations in Delhi and NCR belonging to erstwhile Kwality Limited and the then Promoters/ Directors Sanjay Dhingra, Siddhant Gupta, and other shell companies related to them.
During the search operations, cash amounting to Rs 1.3 Crore and various incriminating evidence were recovered and seized along with demat accounts having investment value of about Rs 2.5 Crore, etc have frozen by the enforcement directorate (ED).
In a shocking incident, an ED team was attacked in Delhi the capital city of India while conducting a raid in the Bijwasan area on Thursday. According to reports, an Enforcement Directorate team (ED) was attacked in Delhi’s Bijwasan area while conducting raids. Five people were there in the premises and one of them ran away.
Later however the premises was secured and an complaint was filed. One Additional Director of the ED was injured in the incident, reports confirmed.
Later reports added that, the Enforcement Directorate’s High-Intensity Unit (HIU) had launched extensive searches today targeting top chartered accountants allegedly linked to a massive cybercrime network operating across India.
The raids follow an investigation that uncovered the laundering of illicit funds generated from thousands of cybercrimes, including phishing scams, QR code fraud, and part-time job scams, sources in the ED said.
