Lucknow: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) after investigation into Ram Mandir donation theft case has found alleged theft of at least 70 times in just 40 days.
The investigation revealed that most of the thefts happened during the evening shift, when donation money from devotees was being counted.
The donation theft mainly took place during two shifts, one morning from 6 AM to 2 PM and second shift that start from 2 PM to 9 PM. The donation counting session was revised and was only done between 9 AM to 6 PM.
The SIT found several security and management lapses that may have allowed the thefts to happen repeatedly.
As per reports, Police have questioned temple staff and are investigating whether more people were involved.
The accused have been arrested, and police are seeking their custody to question them further and collect more evidence.
The case has raised concerns about the safety and proper management of donations at the Ram Mandir.
