Rajasthan couple, serving life imprisonment, marry after High Court approves parole

The decision to grant parole had sparked debates but it was somehow approved for the criminals to get married by the District Parole Advisory Committee as directed by High Court.

Jaipur: In a surprising turn of events, two prisoners serving life sentences for murder got married in Barodameo, Alwar district, Rajasthan.

The two prisoners who got married yesterday are identified as Priya Seth, a 34-year-old woman and Hanuman Prasad who is a 29-year-old man.

The wedding took place in Barodameo in Alwar district, which is the native town of Hanuman.

The decision to grant parole was initially met with resistance, but was ultimately approved by the District Parole Advisory Committee, allowing the couple to get married, as directed by the High Court.

It is reportedly said that the two prisoners, fell in love and got close last year as they were lodged in the same open jail in Sanganer, Rajasthan.

Priya was imprisoned for luring a person to their death by strangulation and stuffing the body in a suitcase. Meanwhile, Hanuman planned a murder with his partner, killing her husband and his three children.
