Kolkata: A Qatar Airways plane was hit by a water truck at Kolkata airport in the early hours today, damaging the belly of the aircraft. Crew and passengers are reported safe.
The Qatar Airways flight, QR 541 from Doha to Kolkata had reportedly 103 passengers on board.
The hit that reportedly occurred at 3.15 am damaged the belly of the sircraft.
ANI has reported that the aircraft that took the hit was taken away for repairs soon after the incident.
An enquiry has been ordered by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation or DGCA into the details of the incident.
