Pul Bangash killing case: Sufficient proof against Jagdish Tytler, says Court

New Delhi: In the 1984 Pul Bangash case, the Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court directed to frame charges against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler. The matter relates to the Sikh killings case.

According to reliable reports, the court said that there is sufficient material to frame the charges against the accused Jagdish Tytler. Charges have been framed under sections 143, 153A, 188, 149 etc. read with 302.

It is worth mentioning here that, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had filed a supplementary charge sheet against Tytler.

This case pertains to killing of three Sikhs near the Gurudwara Pul Bangash and arson in the religious place in 1984. This incident occurred after the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Following the judgement Harmeet Singh Kalka, President, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee told ANI, ” The 40 years of fight, fought by Sikh community…we had only one goal, these killers had to be sent to jail…we have got a big relief today…we hope that Jagdish Tytler will go to jail soon”
