Principal Booked For Abetment After Class X Student Commits Suicide

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a Class X girl hanged herself to death after allegedly being slapped by her school principal for having long nails and wearing earrings. The 15-year-old girl was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home.

The tragic incident has been reported in Haryana’s Gurugram.

According to sources, the girl was a student of a private school in Gurugram. A day before her suicide, the girl was scolded and slapped by her school principal in front of other students for wearing long earrings, keeping a mobile phone and having long nails.

Meanwhile, the girl after returning home, did not talk to anyone. She didn’t even eat food. When the girl did not come back from her room, her younger brother went to her room to check on her. When she didn’t open the door despite repeated knockings, they broke open the door and found her hanging from the ceiling fan.

Though, she was immediately rushed to a hospital, doctors declared her dead on arrival.

The matter came to the fore after the girl’s uncle lodged a written complaint in this connection.

Based on the complaint of the girl’s uncle, a case of abatement to suicide has been registered against the principal. However, he is yet to be arrested in this connection.
