PM Narendra Modi sanctions procurement of 1 lakh portable oxygen concentrators from PM Cares Fund

New Delhi: Amid rising demand for Oxygen supply for COVID management across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sanctioned the procurement of 1 lakh portable oxygen concentrators and 500 new PSA plants from the PM Cares Fund.

Earlier, the PM Cares Fund had sanctioned 713 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants due to rising COVID-19 cases in India.

This will improve access to oxygen, specially in district Headquarters and Tier-2 cities, said Narendra Modi in a tweet.

As per Union Health Ministry, India reported 3,60,960 new cases, 3,293 deaths and 2,61,162 discharges on Wednesday.
