PM Modi to launch Projects worth Rs 14,500 crore in Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several projects worth over Rs 14,500 cr during a day-long visit to Odisha on Monday.

The Prime Minister will dedicate the new campus of IIT-Bhubaneswar at Aragul and will launch a slew of projects related to higher education, health, road and highways and culture.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a permanent campus of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Berhampur from the IIT campus here; Six-laning of the Chandikhole-Bhadrak section of NH-16 and four-laning of Cuttack-Angul section of NH-42.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation of Paradip-Hyderabad Pipeline Product Project by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. and Bokaro-Angul section of Jagdishpur-Haldia & Bokaro-Dhamra Gas Pipeline Project by Gas Authority of India Limited.

PM Modi will inaugurate the Lalitgiri Archaeological Museum which houses huge sculptures of the Buddha and various Buddhist deities.

PM Modi will also release a commemorative coin and a postage stamp in memory of Paika Rebellion at a function in IIT Bhubaneswar. This year marks 200th anniversary of the 1817 Rebellion led by Buxi Jagabandhu of Khorda district against the British.

Modi will address a public rally at BSF ground near Jatani in Khurda district.
