PM Modi To Inaugurate Multiple Development Projects In Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

NEW DELHI:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Puducherry and Tamil Nadu on February 25th Thursday morning where he is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development initiative and infrastructure project.

“India is proud of Tamil Nadu’s contribution to national progress. The vibrant Tamil culture is popular globally. Central Government is honoured to be working for TN’s growth. Will be in Coimbatore tomorrow to inaugurate various projects,” the PM tweeted on Wednesday.

According to an official release, Modi will be inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for different development initiative at 11.30 in Puducherry. At around 4 p.m he will lay the foundation stone of multiple infrastructure projects worth over Rs 12,400 crore in Coimbatore.

Here is the Inauguration List of  Puducherry and Tamil Nadu: 

*PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for 4-laning of 56 km Nagapattinam-Sattanathapuram package of Villupuram to Nagapattinam project also covering Karaikal District. The project costs Rs. 2,426 crores.

* Foundation stone for the Medical college Building at Karaikal District (JIPMER). The estimated cost is Rs. 491 crores.

* Under Sagarmala Scheme, the foundation stone for the development of Minor Port at Puducherry will be laid. It is estimated to be built at 44 crores and will provide connectivity to Chennai.

* PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Synthetic Athletic Track, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex. It will cost around Rs. 7 crores.

* Prime Minister will be inaugurating the Blood Centre at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education an Research. The cost is Rs. 28 crores.

*Inauguration of a 100-bed hostel for girls at Lawspet will take place. The cost is Rs. 12 crores and has been set up under the aegis of the Sports Authority of India.

* PM Modi will inaugurate the reconstructed Heritage Marie Building which has been rebuilt for Rs 15 crores.

* In Tamil Nadu, PM Modi will dedicate to the nation the Neyveli New Thermal Power Project, a lignite based power plant designed for a power generation capacity of 1000 MW. It has been built at a cost of about

*The Bhavanisagar Dam and the canal systems comprise Lower Bhavani Project Canal System, Arakankottai and Thadapalli Channels, and Kalingarayan Channel. It irrigates over two lakh acres of land in Erode, Tiruppur and Karur districts of Tamil Nadu.
