PM Modi to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for slew of projects in Odisha today

Balngir:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive here in Odisha today to dedicate several developmental projects worth around Rs 1550 crore to the nation.

The Prime Minister will dedicate Multi-Modal Logistics Park Jharsuguda and inaugurate a new railway line from Balangir-Bichupali.

Multi-Modal Logistics Park promotes movement of goods for domestic as well as global trade. It will establish Jharsuguda as a prime logistics hub and boost ease of doing business in the State.

The 15-km Balangir-Bichupali New Railway Line would connect coastal Odisha with its western part. It will reduce travel time from Bhubaneswar and Puri to major cities, such as New Delhi and Mumbai.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate the electrification of 813 km of Jharsuguda-Vizinagaram and Sambalpur-Angul lines as well as doubling of Barpali-Dungaripali and Balangir-Deogaon road line to the nation.

Besides, Modi will inaugurate Passport Sewa Kendras at Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Kandhamal, Bargarh and Balangir.

Later, Modi will also address the BJP convention here. Adequate security has been placed in and around the district headquarters.
