PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi other leaders wish Manmohan on his 86th birthday today

New Delhi: Wishes kept in flooding for former Prime Minister of India and veteran Congress leader Manmohan Singh starting from the morning today as he celebrated his 86th birthday.

Those who wished Singh include PM Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Punjab CM Capt. Amrinder Singh among others.

PM Modi took to his twitter handle to wish Singh and prayed to the almighty for his long life.

Modi tweeted: “Greetings to our former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh ji on his birthday. I pray for Dr Singh’s long life and good health.”

Similarly, Congress President dubbed Singh as a selfless leader and insisted that his birthday is an opportunity to remember his service to the nation.

“Manmohan Singh ji’s birthday is an opportunity for us to appreciate and remember his many years of selfless service and dedication to the cause of nation building. I wish him a very happy birthday and good health and happiness always,” Rahul tweeted.

Extending his greetings to the great statesman Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal termed Singh as a man of integrity, sobriety and humble nature.

Kejriwal tweeted, “I wish a very happy 86th birthday to Dr Manmohan Singh, our former Prime Minister. A man of integrity, sobriety and humble nature. I pray for his long & healthy life.”

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on his twitter handle wrote,”Birthday greetings and good wishes to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh ji. May he be blessed with good health and long life.”

Punjab CM Capt. Amrinder Singh posted a picture of his on twitter and hoped Singh to inspire him in the coming years.

Punjab CM wrote, “My best wishes to Dr Manmohan Singh ji on his birthday. May God bless this great icon of the nation with health and happiness always, and with many more years of inspiration for all of us. #HappyBirthdayDrSingh.”

Manmohan was born in Gah of Pakistan on September 26, 1932. He was elected as the Prime Minister of India on two occasions, once in 2004 and again in 2014.
