New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended his best wishes on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha. He took Twitter route and wished for brotherhood in the society on the occasion.

President Ram Nath Kovind has also greeted fellow citizens on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha. In his message, Kovind extended good wishes to Muslim brothers and sisters in country and abroad.
The President said, on the special day, people celebrate the spirit of sacrifice. He said, let us resolve to work together for unity and fraternity in shared society.

Muslims all over the world offer animal sacrifices to commemorate the sacrifice made by Prophet Abrahim. It is for this reason that Eid-ul-Zuha is also known as Bakr Eid.
