PM Modi Offers Prayers At Kerala’s Guruvayur Temple Ahead Of Maldives Visit

Thrissur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Thrissur in Kerala on Saturday morning to offer prayers at the Guruvayur temple after winning the Lok Sabha elections with a thumping majority.

This comes ahead of PM Modi’s visit to the Maldives- his first foreign visit after assuming office for a second term.

At the temple, the Prime Minister performed the ‘thulabharam’ ceremony in which he offered lotuses for his prayers, which is the BJP symbol. PM Modi was weighed on scales with lotuses and the flowers were later offered for prayers at the Sri Krishna temple.

Dressed in the traditional attire of white dhoti and a white cloth on his shoulders, PM Modi was accompanied by Union ministers and officials while the temple has been shut down for visitors.
