Chennai: In a shocking incident, a Pitbull attacked a seven-year-old girl in Chennai and left her with serious facial injuries on Sunday. The dog lived on the same property where the girl’s family stayed on the first floor.
According to the reports, the dog suddenly lunged at the child and bit her face. Her father immediately rushed to save her and managed to pull the dog away but the attack caused deep wounds on her face.
Doctors then examined her and confirmed that she would need plastic surgery. They estimated that her recovery could take up to two years.
Following the incident, officials caught the dog and moved it to an animal shelter. The police have registered the father’s complaint and booked the dog owner under Sections 125 and 291 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act.
Additionally, they have launched an investigation and are continuing to collect evidence.
