Petrol prices fall to an all-year low, Diesel to a 9-month low

Bhubaneswar: Petrol price on December 30 was cut by 22 paise per litre to its lowest level in 2018 while diesel rates were reduced by 23 paise to a nine-month low.

Petrol price in Delhi was cut to ₹69.04 per litre from ₹69.26 while diesel rates came down to ₹63.09 from ₹63.32 a litre, according to the price notification of state-owned oil firms.

Petrol price in Bhubaneswar was cut by 16 paise to Rs. 68.25 per litre. The Diesel price was cut by 20 paise to Rs. 67.83 per litre.

There has been a continuous decline in Petrol prices since October 2018, except for one day. The prices are at their lowest level in 2018. Diesel rates have recorded their lowest since March-end this year.

Since October 2018, Petrol prices have fallen by Rs. 13.79. It completely negated all the price hike witnessed two months post-mid-August. Diesel prices have declined by ₹12.06 per litre in two and a half months.
