Petrol and diesel prices drop on Tuesday

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were slashed on Tuesday by 8 paise and 11 paise respectively nation-wide. State-controlled oil marketing companies reduced retail price of petrol and diesel.

In the national capital, petrol is now sold at Rs 71.19 as against Rs 71.27 yesterday, and diesel is now retailing at Rs 65.89 as compared to Rs 66 on Monday.

In Mumbai, the retail prices of petrol and diesel are Rs 76.82 a litre and Rs 69 a litre respectively, according to data available on Indian Oil Corporation website. Petrol was sold at Rs 76.90 a litre while the price of diesel was Rs 69.11 per litre in Mumbai on Monday.


In Odisha, petrol prices were slashed by 8 paise and diesel by 11 paise. After the price cut, petrol is now sold at Rs 70.47 as compared to Rs 70.554 yesterday. Meanwhile, diesel is retailing at Rs 71. 046 as compared to Rs 70.931.

Oil Companies all over India are following dynamic fuel price method. As per this method, petrol and diesel rates are revised at 06:00 a.m. every day.
