Paytm To Provide Madhya Pradesh 100 Oxygen Concentrators To Fight Against Covid-19

Bhopal: The Indian multinational e-commerce payment company Paytm has decided to provide 100 oxygen concentrators to Madhya Pradesh amid the unprecedented oxygen crisis in India.

According to reports, Chief Minister of MP, M Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke to the founder and CEO of Paytm, Vijay Shekhar Sharma following which the company decided to provide the oxygen concentrators in the next two to three days.

Earlier he had said that India requires all the support to tide over the oxygen crisis at the moment.

The company (Paytm) shall import at least 10,000 oxygen concentrators with a hope to ramp up the number to 20,000 to 30,000, added the CEO.

On Sunday, Paytm had launched a fundraising campaign to fight the shortage of oxygen in India that has been caused due to the second wave of coronavirus . The initiative is called ‘Oxygen for India’ which is aimed to directly help the people who are in need of oxygen.

“All the contributions made through Paytm will be directly transferred to Paytm Foundation. Paytm Foundation will buy oxygen concentrators and distribute to needy,” the company wrote on its FAQ page.
