Partial Lockdown To Be Imposed In West Bengal, See Details

Kolkata: The government of West Bengal has decided to impose partial lockdown in the state from tomorrow i.e. January 3, 2022.

According to reports, all schools, colleges, universities, spas, salons, beauty parlours, zoos, and entertainment parks to be closed in the state from tomorrow.

The West Bengal Chief Secretary, HK Dwivedi confirmed the decision and clarified that all the schools, colleges, universities, spas, salons, beauty parlours, zoos, and entertainment parks to be closed in the state from tomorrow.

He added that the decision has been taken keeping in view the rise in the number of Covid cases in the State.

According to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Kolkata’s weekly positivity rate increased to 12.5%, while the state’s increased to 5.47%.

It is noteworthy that, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and West Bengal health department have announced a ‘system alert’ to contain the spread of the virus.
