Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch sector

Srinagar:  In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops resorted to indiscriminate firing in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Defence Spokesperson, Pakistani troops started targeting Indian forward posts in Mankote and Krishna Ghati Sectors of District Poonch and Baba Khori area of Nowshera Sector in District Rajouri of Jammu region at about 8 AM today.

Pak troops used small arms and started shelling with Mortars. However, Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

No report of any loss of life or any injury has been reported from the Indian side so far.

On Wednesday night, Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch’s Digwar sector.
