Over 40 members of BJP Headquarters in New Delhi test positive for Covid-19

New Delhi: As many as 42 members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters have tested positive for COVID-19.

Reportedly, the members of BJP headquarters who have tested positive for COVID-19 include security officials and party staff members.

On Monday, a mass COVID-19 test drive was conducted at the BJP headquarters, following 42 staffs were detected with COVID-19.

The contact tracing of all the 42 Covid positives have been initiated, added reports.

It is to be noted that senior BJP leaders including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP chief JP Nadda have already tested positive for COVID-19 and have been under home quarantine.

Last week, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced dates for Assembly polls in five states. Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab elections will be held between February 10 and March 7. The results will be declared on March 10.
