Odisha’s Pratap Sarangi likely to sworn-in as Union Minister

New Delhi: Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Balasore Parliamentary Constituency in Odisha, is likely to be sworn-in as a Union Minister this evening.

According to reports, the first-time MP has received phone calls from BJP President Amit Shah inviting him to the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here, before the swearing-in ceremony of new Council of Ministers.

Besides Sarangi, senior BJP leader of Odisha and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has reportedly received phone calls from party top brass.

In the first tenure of Narendra Modi Government (2014-19), two BJP leaders from Odisha– Rajya Sabha MP Dharmendra Pradhan and Sundergarh MP Jual Oram were inducted into the Council of Ministers.

While Pradhan was awarded as the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Oram took charge as the Minister of Tribal Affairs.

PM Modi will be sworn in this evening for a second straight term after his BJP’s landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
