NEET-PG Counselling 2021 to begin from today, Check details

New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) counselling process will begin from today.

Reportedly, round 1 for the Post Graduate counselling procedure will be conducted from today till January 17, 2022. The candidates have to register following which they have to select their college preferences from the options available.

The verification of candidates by the respective institutes would be conducted from January 18 to January 19, followed by the seat allotment process, on January 20 and 21. The result will be declared on January 22, 2022.

Similarly, the second round of registration will begin from February 3 to 7 and the result will be declared on February 12, 2022, followed by the third round from February 24 to 28, 2022.

It is to be noted that the counselling process was postponed twice due to a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the new OBC and EWS reservation policy announced by the central government and the MCC.

However, the Supreme Court allowed reservation of seats in NEET PG Counselling 2021 for all medical seats this year.

The Apex Court allowed 27% reservation for Other Backward Class (OBC) and 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category in the All-India Quota (AIQ) seats for admission in the NEET for all medical seats as existing criteria this year.

Supreme Court allowed NEET-PG Counselling for 2021-2022 based on existing EWS/OBC reservation from this year.
