New Delhi: A Lufthansa flight en route from Munich to Bangkok, LH772, was diverted to Delhi at 10:26 am today following an altercation between a German man and his Thai wife.

The dispute, which reportedly arose due to the husband’s unruly behavior, prompted the pilots to inform air traffic control (ATC) of the situation.

The wife, feeling threatened by her husband, initially approached the pilot seeking intervention. Consequently, the flight was diverted to Delhi, where the inebriated passenger was deboarded.

The Lufthansa spokesperson assured that the safety and security of passengers and crew are the airline’s top priority. The flight is expected to resume its journey to Bangkok shortly.

Earlier, a similar incident occurred on October 6, where an individual was arrested for using abusive language and making lewd comments towards the crew on an Air India flight. The accused received verbal and written warnings before being restrained by the crew due to persistent inappropriate behavior.
