Mumbai: The Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai has issued yellow alert for the financial capital. The heavy rainfall in the city has disrupted transport services causing difficult for the commuters.
The Andheri Subway has been closed for vehicular movement amid waterlogging following heavy rainfall.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday said Vihar Lake started overflowing at around 3:50 am today. It is one of the seven lakes that supplies water to the entire Mumbai area. The area continues to receive heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, all schools and colleges in Palghar district closed after IMD issued an orange alert for today, informed the Palghar Collector’s Office.
In Pune, three men died of electrocution while they were trying to pull their handcart that had submerged in the water due to heaby downpours. All schools have been shut due to heavy rainfall.
The Indian Meteorological Department issued a red alert for Maharashtra on Thursday and has predicted extremely heavy rainfall.
