Jaipur: Three people were killed after a massive fire broke out at a firecracker factory in Jaipur’s Khoh Nagoriyan area on Tuesday.
The identities of the victims have not yet been officially disclosed.
As per reports, flames and thick smoke engulfed parts of the factory premises. On being informed, firefighters rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the blaze. Later, the fire department teams managed to bring the fire under control.
As per official, the authorities received information about the fire at around 11:30 am. Following the alert, multiple emergency agencies were mobilised immediately.
“A fire broke out at an illegal firecracker factory in the Kho-Nagoriyan area of Jaipur. An illegal firecracker factory was operating inside the house, and a gas cylinder also caught fire. Three people died, and five are undergoing treatment. About eight people were present in the house, including one woman and one child,” official said.
The officials have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. Multiple agencies are examining the cause of the fire and the nature of activities being carried out at the factory.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
