Man’s hand chopped off after dispute over missing cows in MP

Raisen: In a gruesome incident, a man’s hand was chopped off with a sword by five members of a family, who also thrashed him, in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, an argument ensued between the family members of Sattu Yadav and Prem Narayan Sahu over his missing cows yesterday night.

Irate over the argument, Yadav along with his four other family members tied Sahu to a tree and chopped off his right arm with a sword.

Police officer Rajendra Kumar Dhurve while speaking to ANI, said, “The incident happened around 9 pm on Sunday night, when the family of Sattu Yadav attacked the man after he inquired about his missing cows. A fight followed and the family members of Sattu Yadav tied the victim, identified as Prem Narayan Sahu, to a tree and chopped off his right arm with a sword. His left hand is also badly injured,”

“We have arrested two of the accused, but three others of the family are missing,” Dhurve added.

Meanwhile, Sattu Yadav’s family has been charged with attempted murder under section 323 of the Indian Penal Code.

Further investigation into the matter is on.
